Yesterday, Istra Inspirit was awarded the seventh prize in a row at a competition organized by the ‘European Cultural Tourism Network’ – European Cultural Tourism Network in the category Contribution to cultural and creative industries. Istra Inspirita, as the only finalist from Croatia, won the third place for the application entitled ‘Revival of the cultural and historical heritage of Istria through cultural tourism’. The conference entitled ‘Cultural heritage as an asset for responsible and sustainable tourism’ was organized on the occasion of the European Year of Cultural Heritage – #EuropeForCulture. The award ceremony took place at a gala dinner at the Pantheon Conference Center in Paphos, a city in Cyprus that is also the European Cultural Destination in 2017.”We are pleased to point out that Istra Inspirit has been re-recognized as a project that enriches the cultural and innovative – experiential offer of the Istrian peninsula, at the level of the European Union and by a European organization dealing with cultural tourism. Recognitions and awards internationally can contribute to promotion project, as well as further emphasize quality and innovation. We believe that with constant effort and perseverance in providing a unique cultural experience, stories, myths and legends can be revived in a quality way, which enriches the cultural and experiential tourism of Istria. ”Pointed out Morena Milevoj, coordinator of marketing and PR of the project from the Istrian Development Tourist Agency – IRTA doo under which the project is implemented, and added that they also presented Istria as a tourist destination at the conference.This recognition is another proof and confirmation of the long-term successful work of Istra Inspirit, a project of the Administrative Department for Tourism of the Istrian County implemented within the Istrian Development Tourist Agency, which has so far been recognized as a significant product of cultural tourism and awarded prestigious prizes (7) for the most creative tourist program: CBTour – award for the best creative program of Croatian business tourism, MRAK (Network for development and creativity) – award for the best creative and innovative tourist product, ‘Simply the best’, ‘Golden goat 2012 / Capra d’oro 2012’, ‘Golden Zoom Awards’ – the best marketing campaign of a tourist destination awarded as part of the Travel Zoom conference in Bled, Slovenia, ‘Creative Tourism Award’ – award for the most creative experience in 2014 given to Istra Inspirit awarded by the international organization Creative Tourism Network from Barcelona, 2015.Also, for the end, it should be added that the UNWTO included Istra Inspirit among the 28 best tourist stories in the world, and which are included in the prestigious and recognized book Tourism Stories published by the World Tourism Organization, which is certainly another confirmation of the excellent concept.
JOHNSTON — Governor Kim Reynolds today expanded her disaster proclamation to close establishments like bookstores, clothing stores, shoe stores, jewelry stores, luggage stores, as well as cosmetic & beauty stores, florists, and furniture stores as of midnight tonight.Her expansion does not include discount stores, grocery stores, or pharmacies that sell those goods in addition to other essential food, medical supplies and household goods.She also extended the closures of bars, restaurants, casinos, theaters and barber shops until April 7th.The Iowa Department of Public Health reported earlier today there have been 34 more positive COVID-19 cases in Iowa for a total of 179 positive cases. None of the new cases were here in north-central Iowa.
