An interim report from an independent review of the automobile insurance system, to ensure Nova Scotians have access to appropriate coverage and premiums that are fair, stable and affordable, is available for public comment. The report has been prepared by review lead Ron L’Esperance. “We want to make sure that the voice of auto insurance consumers is heard,” said Graham Steele, Minister for the Insurance Act.”This opportunity for input will ensure that any potential changes to Nova Scotia’s automobile insurance system meet the needs of today’s families.” People can visit www.gov.ns.ca/autoinsurancereview/ to access the interim report and provide comments. The deadline for feedback is May 17. Government decisions about auto insurance reforms will be made after the final report is released at the end of May and the results are known from actuarial work this summer.
